Care for our pieces
All of our custom pieces will receive a lifetime of inspections, cleaning and polishing free of charge. It is important that you as the client have your jewellery checked regularly for wear and tear, just like tyres on a car. Our expertise will continue to care for our pieces, and it will never be a burden.
This is particularly important as some gemstones require specific cleaning conditions.
Under Victorian Consumer Law and Celestial Jewellery’s policy, our custom pieces are guaranteed against failure. Celestial Jewellery and Victorian Consumer Law does not guarantee damage caused by the client, which is assessed in-house to determine damage/wear and tear vs. failure. This includes dints, scratches, chips, wearing out etc. which may happen to either the gemstones or the precious metal.
Any work that is deemed by us to be a 'failure' or 'defect' of the piece will be covered by Celestial Jewellery.
Any work that is deemed by us to be 'damage' or 'wear and tear' will be quoted on for repairwork by Celestial Jewellery at the client's cost.
If a gemstone is chipped, it will be quoted on for repair which involves either repolishing or recutting by a lapidary. If it is not repairable, a quote will be provided for a replacement gem. This is where insurance is also particularly important. We recommend Q Report unconditionally.
If you are ever in a position of going through an insurance claim with your insurance company about your jewellery, and they state you must go to their jeweller or they won't cover it, this is simply not true. You may take it to any jeweller of your preference, as much as the insurance company may be a hassle about it.
Delivery
Once payment in full has happened, as most of our clientele are at least 50km away, delivery of our goods is free of charge. Our pieces are registered express posted with a tracking number which is given to the client. You, the client, are responsible for giving complete and accurate postal information such as name and address and phone number.
Returns and Exchanges
Any new item purchased from the 'For Sale' section on this website or on our facebook page will be accepted for a refund or exchange at our discretion as long as you contact Celestial Jewellery and return post the item within 7 days of it arriving to your residence. The refund or exchange may be applied but only after we have safely received the item in question.
Change of mind policy
As the majority of our pieces are custom, our policies must be custom too. Aside from the guarantees that Victorian Consumer Law offers, Celestial Jewellery's policy on change of mind is as follows;
New custom jewellery: Celestial Jewellery will accept cancellation of a custom jewellery piece (where all materials are brand new). The initial deposit of 50% will not be returned to you, the client, as it is required to cover the incurred costs that have happened with the beginning of the task.
The remaining 50% of the cost of the custom jewellery will not be required. This is only possible prior to collection of the custom jewellery.
Any change of mind return requests after payment in full and collection will be at the discretion of Celestial Jewellery. Please understand these policies are not required of us, but we seek to make our clients as happy as possible with our services.
Remodelled or remade custom jewellery: Where any new work undertaken by Celestial Jewellery involves any jewellery already owned by the client, Celestial Jewellery will not accept any cancellation and the full payment is required.
Repairwork of jewellery: Celestial Jewellery will only accept cancellation of repairs IF the repairwork has not already begun, even if only in part. Moneys paid toward the repairs will be refunded in full IF NONE of the repairs have been started. If repairs have partially begun, those repair costs will not be refunded, and the repairwork will be completed on those partial pieces, with the remaining untouched repairs refunded and returned. the cancellation charge is 100% of the agreed price.
