Pearl & Diamond Shepherd Hook Earrings
Our client came to us with a lot of jewellery to be assessed for her peace of mind. She had a few pieces of gold she said we could just have, but that's not something we do. So we suggested, as she had a couple of left over pearls from her bracelet repair, to melt down her 9ct rose gold, add a couple of diamonds, and turn her old gold into a new pair of matching earrings.
They turned out to be her favourite pair of earrings to wear!

This Client had a few pieces of old jewellery she didn't wear anymore, and she wanted something made to synchronise with her other twisted rings. After supplying a few design options, she fell in love with this one. So the process started with obtaining her old jewellery, as well as adding some fresh gold, and removing her gems to be used in the new ring.
The progress photos highlight the components being made individually, eventually coming together to form a bigger picture - the finished ring using her old jewellery. All completed in-house from start to finish.

Remodelled Wedding Ring
One of our clients had two worn and thin wedding rings. One was 9ct yellow gold and one was 18ct yellow gold. Neither of these were worn by her partner because of how worn they were, and she wanted to surprise him with a brand new heavier wedding ring, by melting these two down and remaking it stronger.
After quoting and receiving the go ahead, we melted them together into a new bar, rolled it out and formed it into the new wedding ring that blew him away.
Due to their gold contents, the combination of these alloys became just below 14ct yellow gold, which meant we were required to hallmark this ring as 9ct (375).

Our client came to us with their own design idea based on what they knew their partner would like. They wanted to use a few pieces of jewellery they didn't use, but mainly wanted to transform their inherited ring from their beloved Aunty.
The gold from the Auntie's ring went into this one, and the diamonds went into 'Part 2' below.
These progress photos show how the gems were removed from the old gold, and white gold separated from yellow. The pink tinge is from quenching the gold in Methylated Spirits, which provides some TLC to the mixed alloy, allowing it to relax during working.

Without having seen the ring they were going to receive (part 1), Partner number 2 spoke with us about making an engagement ring with the remaining diamonds from part 1, and wanted the design to be similar but in 9ct white gold. We couldn't give away the first ring because they hadn't seen it yet! So we brainstormed a few designs and our client Partner number 2 chose this one.
The diamonds from the Auntie's ring above went into this one, and the gold went into 'Part 1' above.
These two clients were such a pleasure to work with, and are a very well balanced pair. The similarities and differences in these two rings highlight exactly that.
With the diamonds came some brand new sapphires to be set into the petals. These photos show how we made it from start to finish.
